Founded in 1930, Fábrica Alentejana de Lanifícios has become a hub for artistic development. Our brand image stands the test of time, based on heirloom quality and traditional weaving patterns. Preserved over the years, our artisans are experiencing a renaissance through new products, concepts and colours. We transform the simple fabric square of the traditional manta, – into an essential decorative craft pieces. Fabricaal’s blankets, rugs, runners, ottoman puffs, cushions, suitcases, bags, wallhangings and computer cases are authentic and timelessly Timeless unique craft pieces.

THE FIRST STEP IS HALF THE JOURNEY.
As new management, we build upon tradition, preserving and celebrating what makes Fabricaal unique. All looms and employees remain, but new products, colours and designs have been added. The traditional mantas of Reguengos de Monsaraz travelled from the shoulders of shepherds to the comfort of people’s homes, where they are now used as blankets or rugs. From humble cloaks, our looms now create a variety of products adding warmth and sophisticated design elements to homes around the world.
Our looms and the hands of our artisans have been making history for over 100 years.
